Update on the rat: We left the two traps out last night and checked them this morning. Both of them are still set…and not a drop of peanut butter on EITHER of them!!! We have ourselves a crafty rat!
Next attempt: tying licorice through the hole on it. He can’t get that off without setting it off!
Good luck on rat hunting. You should try a shotgun, they cause lots of damage, but if the rat comes in the line of fire, he is fo’ sho’ dead.
Glue traps are fun. You can find them alive the next morning and then put them in a submission hold.
